Cefn Coed Roundabout is a roundabout where the A465 and A470 meet. Originally constructed as a roundabout, works to dual the A465 as parts of the Heads of the Valleys improvement will see the junction grade separated, with the construction of a new roundabout to the north of the existing site.
History
The initial roundabout was built as part of the Merthyr Tydfill Western Bypass scheme. This was fully opened on 18 July 1997 (per Hansard of 5 July 2005).
