Cheshire East Council uses C classifications for its Class III Roads, whilst it also numbers all of its Unclassified roads starting with "UW", "UX" or "UY". The council maintains a Class III network totalling 557.3km (346.1 miles).
The numbering system is shared with Cheshire West and Chester Council. All roads have three digits, the first digit appears to be related to the old Borough Councils.
