|Modified 3-level stacked roundabout|
The Chieveley Interchange, also known as M4 Junction 13, is the junction between the M4 and A34. Originally built as a regular roundabout interchange, it was later bypassed on the A34, effectively creating a 3-level stacked roundabout, although the A34 does not directly cross the roundabout.
There are grade-separated junctions on the slip roads between the A34 and the roundabout.
A small section of the original route of the A34 still exists as part of the Hilton Hotel.
The new junction was originally planned to open at the same time as the Newbury Bypass, but the funding wasn't available.
