Claonaig Bridge carries the B842 across the Claonaig Burn on the east side of Kintyre. It appears to be early 19th century in date, and is a single stone arch carrying a single track road between narrow grass verges (which continue over the bridge). There is very little adornment to the bridge, which is built of rubble. The low parapets continue as wing walls at either end, although the verges and fields have half buried the stonework.
Junction
A very short distance to the north of the bridge is the northern end of the B842, where it terminates at a TOTSO junction with the B8001, which has crossed the peninsula from the A83 on the west coast, and continues past the Claonaig Ferry Terminal to Skipness.
