Clinterty Roundabout lies at the eastern end of the Blackburn bypass on the A96. It was opened in 1998 as part of the bypass and connects the A96 to the old route through the village, now numbered as the B973, although frequently erroneously signed as the B977. As with the other roundabouts built as part of the same scheme, it is a compact design with little flaring between the A96 carriageways, and only minimal spacing between the approach and exit lanes on the roundabout. A fourth arm heads south to the small village of Clinterty, and also links to a service road which connects up a number of properties to the east which were otherwise cut off by the dualling of the A96.
