Cole Avenue Junction is the name given to 2 large traffic light controlled crossroads approaching Gloucester from the south. It is where the A38, A430 and B4008 all meet each other. The southern crossroads was originally a roundabout but was changed to it's current layout in the late 90's. The northern crossroads date from 2007 when the South West Bypass was completed and replaced a smaller T-Junction. These junctions are made even more complicated by the small space between them as well as a GSJ with north facing slips that join close to the southern crossroads, causing weaving problems.
