Collins Cross is a signalised crossroads in Bishop's Stortford. The Cross is one of four crosses (along with Crabb's Cross, Wayte Cross, and Maple Cross) in the town destroyed either at the Reformation or during the Commonwealth . It is believed to have been named from the family of Colin who were living here from the 13th century onward. (source: British History / Parishes)
