Colsterworth Interchange

The Colsterworth Interchange (formerly known as the Colsterworth Roundabout) is an interchange on the A1 where it meets the A151 and B676 halfway along the Colsterworth Bypass. It is also the point at which the route of the A1 diverges from that of Ermine Street and heads northwest towards Newark.

The junction was built as part of the Colsterworth Bypass, which opened in 1926. The A1 through the junction was dualled in the 1950s, with the junction becoming a roundabout in the 1970s. For many years, it was one of the few at-grade roundabouts between the M11 / A14 corridor and the A1(M) Doncaster Bypass, and so consequently was upgraded to a grade separated junction between 2007 and 2008.
