Cowfords Roundabout lies at the west end of the Mosstodloch bypass on the A96. The village has been bypassed to the south, although the new roundabout was built to the north of the old road. This has allowed better deflections at the junction itself, where the old A96 through the village has also been realigned to approach from the north east, and so give more room for the bypass to approach from the south east. The old road is now a spur of the B9015, which has taken over all of the old road through the village.
The fourth arm of the roundabout is the driveway to Cowfords Farm, from which the roundabout takes its name.
