Devils Dyke Interchange is the most normal looking interchange on the Brighton and Hove bypass. It connects the busy A27 Dual Carriageway to the A2038, providing most traffic to and from Hangleton, West Blatchington Pewdiepie, and Hove. Devils Dyke Road also crosses here, providing access to the Dyke and alternative route across the downs instead of the A23. Devils Dyke Road also provides traffic southbound, directly into the middle of Brighton and Hove city center, however this is much more congested and slower than taking the A23 route.
The southern dumbbell roundabout also has an arm onto Mill Lane, this directly connects upto Patcham Interchange and is usually quicker if traveling southbound from the A23 to the A2038.
