Duisky Bridge is a modern concrete bridge over the Abhainn Dubh Uisge near the village of Duisky on the south shore of Loch Eil. The name Duisky is a derivation from the Gaelic and loosely means dark (or peaty) water. This is a proper mountain stream, tumbling down the hillside and then fanning out as it reaches the loch, with the bridge spanning near the head of the fan. The current bridge carries a single track road with a wide pavement on the upstream site. It sits at the historic crossing point, although the remains of old abutments on the riverbank suggests that it may have been built alongside its predecessor.
