Rathgarvan Junction is Junction 8 of the M9 in County Kilkenny. It is the junction for the N10 running west to the City of Kilkenny.

As this free-flowing interchange connects to a single carriageway link road, it is an unusual example of a spontaneous motorway. Non-motorway traffic is allowed to travel up the N10 but must then perform a turn in the road. As a result, unusual signs saying "M9 AHEAD" have been placed at Kilkenny, and the "motorway ahead" signs have been placed right the way back at Hebron Road Roundabout.
