The E11 is the longest and most well known road in the UAE. Coming in at just under 350 miles long, it is the main road connecting the Emirates to Saudi Arabia at Al Ghweifat and follows the Persian Gulf coast through 6 of the 7 Emirates to Oman's Musandam peninsula to the north. Fujairah is the only Emirate the road does not pass through.

Over its course it varies in standards ranging from a modern D4M long distance motorway to a D6M urban motorway to a rural D2M road in the northern stretches. The most famous part of the road is the stretch through the city of Dubai, where it is largely D6M (reaching 10 lanes in one direction at some points) lined on both sides by the city's skyscrapers.
