Elginhaugh Bridge carries the B6392, former A7, across the River North Esk at Eskbank, near Dalkeith. There are a total of 3 arches, the centre one spanning the river and two side arches spanning the steep banks on either side. The bridge carries a narrow S2 roadway with a pavement on the downstream side only. It was built in 1797 as part of the turnpike road into Edinburgh, a function it performed until the Dalkeith / Eskbank bypass opened.
