Elvet Bridge is a grade I listed stone multiple arch bridge crosses the River Wear in Durham city centre.
The bridge has undergone several alterations during its life, including renewal of the central arches in 1771 and widening in 1804/5.
In 1975, a New Elvet Bridge was built nearby, to remove through traffic from the older bridge.
