Enzieholm Bridge carries the B709 across the River Esk in Eskdale, a few miles south of Eskdalemuir. The bridge is a single span stone arch which carries a slightly humped single track roadway. It was built in 1818, and is very plain, with only an ashlar parapet coping to relieve the rough rubble facings of the bridge.
The road approaching from the north is a long straight, dropping down into the valley, and then swings sharp left at at T junction on the south side. With the blind summit of the bridge, this makes for a rather tricky manouvere!
