Description:Along the Birmingham New Road in the south of Wolverhampton. Street light replacements taking place. This one example here is a new steel post-top with a Philips Digistreet (LED), replacing an older steel column with a Philips Traffic-Vision (SON/HPS) and a big long outreach bracket. This older street light looks like its been there since the 1990s at least, or possibly even the 1980s, so whether the Traffic-Vision was the original lantern or not I don't know. Its a shame to see these big long brackets go anyway, as you don't see street lights like this being used anymore.
