Description:Bishopthorpe Bridge
The A64 road bridge crossing the River Ouse between Middlethorpe and Fulford, south of York. Built in 1976, like many modern bridges it is actually two almost identical bridges built side by side, so that should part of it need major repairs in the future, half of the dual carriageway can be kept open to traffic.
