Description:Longyester, East Lothian

A personal favourite, this post is at Longyester. The 'impassable' road is in fact an old coaching track that heads straight over the Lammermuir Hills and rises to within 20 metres of the summit of Lammer Law. Only the first 3km or so is tarmacked; the rest is strictly mountain bike territory! A doff of the hat also to whoever measured the distance to Edinburgh down to the nearest eighth of a mile.
