South west view from Shadowbrook Lane overbridge showing hard shoulder running with the ATM in operation and set to 50MPH on all 4 lanes. The hard shoulder is signed by the electronic warning board as to be used for the next exit (Junction 5 in this pic). Similar running and method was in use 5 to 6 on the opposite carriageway. 9 July 2008
