On its last day as a stop on a major route, I had to wait awhile for people to leave to get this clear shot. On later post M4 visits, I was usually one of only 4 or 5 customers, hence its eventual move to a smaller building by the petrol sta. The entrance lobby had great news clippings on the tiled wall, of the opening day on the bridge, showing dozens of overheated cars in the toll queue. People drove from miles just to see the bridge and clogged up the toll booths solid, such was the excitement in those days. Compare that to the relative apathy that greeted the New Bridge opening in 1996.
