Description:Manx Electric Railway station, Derby Castle, Douglas
This is the southern terminus of the very scenic Manx Electric Railway from Douglas to Ramsey. The line was built is stages from 1893, and one on the original 1893 cars, either No 1 or No 2, is seen just behind the couple, while further back an 1894 ca and trailer are seen. Also visible are some of the promenade horse trams which also terminate here. The large iron open shed which served as the horse tram terminus was demolished some years ago.
