Description:Marine Drive - Horse Leap Collapse

The collapse at Horse Leap which resulted in the closure of the Marine Drive to vehicles in the 1970s. Visible just to the right of centre is the abutment of the Marine Drive Tramway bridge. When the tramway / footpath was converted into a road after WWII the bridge here was demolished into the ravine and the rerouted new road cut into the rather unstable cliff face.
