Close up of the road collapse at Horse Leap showing how the footpath and road edge has completely gone. At this point the road is also under threat from slates which fall from the cliff onto the carraigeway.

Recently it was suggested that the A37 could reopen as a relief road into Douglas which suffers severe traffic congestion at peak hours. The cost of repairs at Horse Leap was put at �2 million. It was not proceded with.
