Description:Old A38

Looking north. Lady in house said new bridges were built in 1963. Newer road on embankment, sign just visible on left. Clearly, a major project at the time. I recall reading that the M5 wasn't planned to go south of J22 so, all this widening must have been meant for a long term future. In fact, it was just 13 years.
