Description:Philips SGS203s in Sainsbury's car park

True Yorkie and I were discussing supermarket car park lanterns earlier in the week, and had to pop out to Sainsbury's this morning, so I took a picture of the SGS203s that traditionally light Sainsburys' car parks! They are installed on what look like cheap CCTV camera columns with side-entry adapters fitted to them. Most of the installations do not have photocells fitted, although one (out of shot to the left in the photo) does, so it is possible that all the lanterns are group-switched by this!

UPDATE FEB 2011: The columns of thee installations have now been painted grey during a resurfacing scheme. There doesn't seem to be any sign of these being replaced, although perhaps they should be now as the lanterns are original to the redevelopment of the car park in around 1983 and so are in quite a scabby condition. Or failing that, a jolly good clean should be in order!
