Description:Queen Elizabeth Street (C) Martin Addison
This short section of the street, to the west of Tower Bridge Road, connects to Tooley Street on the right of the photo. The street is used by buses terminating at City Hall. The 343 route runs to New Cross and is currently served by Wright bodied Volvo buses belonging to Abellio.


The statue on the right of the photo is of Samuel Bourne Bevington who was Colonel commanding the 3rd. V.B. The Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment between 1884 and 1899. He subsequently became the first Mayor of Bermondsey in 1900 The statue was sculpted by Sydney March and unveiled in 1911.
