View eastwards, across the Motorway to Bredon Hill (961 ft.) in the background. The Motorway at this date had only been opened from Lydiate Ash (Junction 4) as far as its Junction 8 with the M50 at Brockeridge near here in 7/62 and was not extended southward until 1969; the Services opened in 11/62, but the Northbound Services was rebuilt in 1991 half a mile to the north.
