Fintry Bridge

The bridge across the Endrick Water in the pretty village of Fintry dates back to 1804. It is a substantial 3-arch stone bridge which in recent years has had a single-span steel footbridge placed alongside, but not connected, to cater for the growing number of pedestrians and visitors to the village. Between the old and new bridges, there is a narrow gap which is home to a number of pipes attached to the older bridge. The roadway across the bridge is a narrow S2, obviously without pavements.
