First Tower is a cross-over between the A1 and A2 on the western edge of St Helier. Whilst there are a number of link roads between the two routes, this is the only one with access to and from the westbound carriageway of the A2 as it runs along the coast. The near Parallel A1 runs a little further inland, and the two are linked by the B27 across the island. The junctions on both the A1 and dualled A2 are managed by traffic lights. The junction takes its name from the Jersey Tower which stands on the corner of the A1 and B27.
