Fleet's Corner is the name of a roundabout junction in Poole. It is commonly confused with Fleets Bridge, which was the name of the bridge over the railway line, which is now Broadstone Way.
Fleet's Corner started as a T-junction between Upton Road and Wimborne Road (now Waterloo Road). Changes were made in the 1920s to allow a road to be constructed to the east, and the junction was converted to a roundabout in the 1950s, still with space for a new road to the east.
This finally arrived in the form of Dorset Way in the 1960s. The flyover and the road to the west weren't built until later.
