A1 A406 Proposed Junction Improvements

The A1 / A406 junction as seen on a 1995 A to Z London map was to be improved (by I believe) a flyover & side roads. Unfortunately, it was transferred to TfL and subsequently shelved.

A1 Great North Road at Bramham

taken May 19th, this shows the new carriageway surface on lanes 1 and 2, which is probably part of the upcoming works at Wetherby just a few miles north. Perhaps lane 3 will be resurfaced soon, as the cones are still there, but for now it makes a symmetrical pattern!

Old A1 sign

Although this is now the A1167 just outside of Berwick it seems they forgot to change this sign now looking a little tattered.

These have now (between 2008 and 2010) been replaced with white signs with A1 in brackets. C2r December 2015
