A165 Reighton By Pass.

First of many pics I took of the By pass while i was staying there. These were taken week of the 10th September. This is the northern end of it on the diverted old road coming from the village. The direction towards Hull and Brid wasnt quite open. (even though some bloke in Burniston said it was)

A165 Cayton/Osgoodby Bypass.

This is another realignment of the A165. At Present it winds around and past Cayton Bay Holiday village, Osgoodby village and into Scarborough from the South. This sounds fine. Only problem is: from where i took the picture, its about 10ft from a sheer drop to the beach. The council is rerouting the A165 through a gap in the houses to join the A165 inland at Scarborough.

Southern end. Not as far along as the northern roundabout as there is more to do here and more exits from the original junction. This the workman in the pic wondered what i was doing?

A165 At Reighton

The A165 coming out of Reighton Sands Holiday Village. This wont be the A165 for much longer as the Reighton Bypass is being built about 200 yards behind the sign and caravan suppliers.

30th May. Ive been informed now that the by pass is open and this is nolonger the A165. Im going up there in Spetember to find out (its a holiday not a 500 mile round trip to see a 2 mile by pass lol)

Miles not KM no metric in my gaff!!!!!!!!!!!

Blundells Corner, Hull A major road junction, where Beverley Road (right) becomes Ferens Way as it heads into the city centre, crossing Spring Bank (ahead) which becomes the relatively new Freetown Way (A165) inner ring road in the foreground.

Freetown Way and the Wright Street junction The junction is marked by the traffic lights. A Fairtrade City Lamppost Banner is seen on the right of the photograph.

Valley Bridge carries the A165 over the Ramsdale Valley ravine in Scarborough. It was opened in 1928.

Valley Bridge carries the A165 Filey road over Ramsdale Valley and Valley Road. It opened in 1928.
