The view off the right side of the flyover. The traffic queueing at the signals is from the A4 westbound. Fullers brewery is on this roundabout, and you can often smell them brewing. The traffic from the flyover joins the A4 approximately behind the parapet rail support in the centre of the picture.

The surface is appalling -- if you drive more than about 10mph it makes quite a lot of noise, and you can feel every last bolt of the structure. This may have contributed in part to the blurriness of this picture! The speed limit is 30mph, though I wouldn't feel safe doing more than 20: the corners are quite tight, and there's no room for error. The street lights are delightfully 'mini'.

Probably one of the most famous landmarks in London. The dreaded Hogarth Flyover and Roundabout on the A4 in Chiswick, London, W4. The flyover is only a 'temporary measure' that will soon be just the 40 years old, as it was only meant to last just 5.
