Gallery:A350
Looking east along the Upton bypass, opened 1975, where the A350 joins the A35 for a mile or so, before heading into Poole along the Holes Bay road. It used to go straight across into Poole via Hamworthy and Upton, until 1988.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 06, 2007 by SteveA30Dating from at least the 1960's, this is a good layout, designed for this specific location, rectangular, with straight sides on the east and west sides and easy wide exits. Unlike today's standard off the shelf products, identical in shape -circular- and, only varying in size, with tight deflections at exits, especially for lorries.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 06, 2007 by SteveA30The Holes Bay Road gives the A350 a scenic entrance into Poole town centre skirting along the Holes Bay itself. This is a relief road built back in the 1980s bypassing the busy routes into town which all traffic used to enter through the northern suburbs.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 09, 2006 by DorsetWayThis road is definitely future-proofed, all the bridges along this stretch can accomodate a dual carriageway, and there is enough space at our sides for one.

Situated on the western end of Poole Quay, the bridge provides a road link as part of the A350 road across a busy shipping channel between Poole's town centre and the suburb of Hamworthy.

The A420 heads off to the right into Chippenham.
A major road junction in Shaftesbury, this is on the main A350 linking Poole with the M4 and Bristol.
