Gallery:A358
Not a clear photo but east devon uses these white wooden signs a lot.

Looking south at the former A303/A358 junction near Horton. The A303 went from the left and then right at the junction in the background. The A358 from Taunton came out in the foreground, then right and straight ahead in the background. Both were mini rbts, now removed. The black & white island is the only survivor of these. The A358 now follows the A303 route round the bend and, on to its original route, hence the changed priorities now.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Sep 03, 2008 by SteveA30Naturally, I slipped through Horton to bypass most of the jam. Ironic really. This is from the A358 bridge, on the section towards Chard. Looking west.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Sep 01, 2008 by SteveA30West end of the Ilminster bypass.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on May 29, 2008 by SteveA30A once important but now, completely forgotten junction in Taunton. Looking north towards Bridgwater. Old A358 to Ilminster on right. It is cut off now, going into modern housing developments. M5 J25 replaced it in Nov 75, when the section from Bridgwater connected to the Taunton bypass which had opened in April 74. During that interim phase, all traffic must have turned in/out of the A358 off the M5.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 15, 2008 by SteveA30View east, with the A358 Southfields rbt just around the bend. Coming in to that rbt on this A358 (old A303), I had to just force my way out into the chaos and into Ilminster to bypass the bypass. More irony.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Sep 01, 2008 by SteveA30Going home past the works by M5 J25. Looks like the new road will move to the right a little, with lights that will cause even more congestion than there already is here.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Oct 17, 2009 by SteveA30Turning around to the old route from Taunton, now gated off. It crosses the modern A358 beyond the trees, at a location already in the Gallery.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 10, 2008 by SteveA30Tricky bridge on the old A358, that saw many near misses between lorries and cars.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 10, 2008 by SteveA30Looking south, where the old is bisected by the new. It went on to join itself and, the old A303 near Ilminster, at a short multiplex, now just the A358.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 10, 2008 by SteveA30I'm not sure about these road markings, why not just have a single white line either side of the cheverons and not allow overtaking...there isn't space anyway.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on May 02, 2007 by AAndyVery small signs for this class of road - can't be because apperance would be spoilt... look at the size of the recreation sign
