WHR Bridge near Nantmor
The abutments of the <a href='http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/39572'>SH5945 : WHR Bridge near Nantmor</a> after it was removed pending reconstruction. The bridge has now been replaced with a new deck which was installed on 29th October 2006. WHR Bridge near Nantmor
This old and rusting bridge had not seen trains since the 1930s. It was removed on 6th November 2005 in preparation for replacement by new and more sound structure <a title='http://www.bangor.ac.uk/ml/whr/phase4/aber-hafod.htm' rel='nofollow' href='http://www.bangor.ac.uk/ml/whr/phase4/aber-hafod.htm'>Link</a><img style='padding-left:2px;' alt='External link' title='External link - shift click to open in new window' src='http://s0.geograph.org.uk/img/external.png' width='10' height='10'/> within the next year or so ready for the return of trains between Porthmadog and Dinas and thence to Caernarfon.
