A4289
East along Kingshill Road, Swindon
The western end of Kingshill Road is relatively flat. It starts climbing the hill from the mini-roundabout in the distance

Old road sign, Clifton Street, Swindon
I believe the term for these signs is 'pre-Worboys'. The sign is in quite good condition and hasn't had its road number indicator removed as others have elsewhere. This is perhaps an oversight as the main road, Kingshill Road visible behind the sign, is now the A4289. There is a closer look at the sign here <a title='http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1099250' rel='nofollow' href='http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1099250'>Link</a><img style='padding-left:2px;' alt='External link' title='External link - shift click to open in new window' src='http://s0.geograph.org.uk/img/external.png' width='10' height='10'/>

Queen Victoria House, 106 Victoria Road
Queen Victoria House is an undistinguished looking modern office & shops block, built a few years ago at this busy road junction in Old Town. It also has a frontage to Albert Street, and is seen here from Bath Road. There is an interesting array of communications equipment on the building's roof.

A4289 Magic Roundabout, Swindon
Five mini-roundabouts arranged in a circle, meaning that the larger roundabout is two-way and the chevrons point anticlockwise.
