North easterly approach on the A444 to the Whitley Flyover at Coventry where the A4114 goes left to the City and the A4082 goes right as the London Road.

After you join the north east bound A444 from the A45 at Festival Island Coventry this old patched confirmation sign still shows A46 its previous identity. This is a bit of an anomoly as all other signs in the area have been replaced with new versions during the resurfacing works. 1 July 2008

Confirmation sign for the B4113 with A444 crossed out with a red line on B4113 at St Martins Road Finham just before the A46 overbridge. The previously posted picture of the A444 Leamington sign on Howes Lane is 250m from this sign so motorists are updated as to the correct status of the road. May 14 2007

Trailer mounted dot matrix warning sign on the A444 Phoenix Way at the Arena Retail Park/Ricoh Arena Car Park traffic light junction on the A444 heading north. Rod Stewart is in concert on Tuesday 10 July and the board is displaying a warning of delays due to the concert - the angle did not catch the full display you can just see a few of the lights lit. As an aside I have also seen a trailer mounted VA slow 30 at Atherstone on the A5 where there are lane closures and TSL for roundabout works at Holly Lane

The A46 changes into the A444 once you enter the Coventry city boundary as for continuing on the A46 north you would need to TOTSO at Stivichall Interchange on the West Midlands/Warwickshire boundary

The terminus of the A444 which it meets the London Road in the suburb of Whitley. This look temporary as the 'slip roads' are split apart leaving plenty of room for the A444 to continue northwards but this definitely would not happen in the near future. The flyover in the foreground is for the London Road traffic heading south on the A444 on the right.

The southbound A444 where traffic come hurtling down from the flyover from the London road without having to use the roundabout underneath. Other traffic not using the flyover emerge up from the right in front of the immediate exit ahead, for an Ibis hotel, showing a short weaving section here

Leamington Direction Sign A444 on the B4115 Howes Lane Coventry and Local sign for Stoneleigh. The A444 became the B4113 some years ago and this sign has not been amended to take account of the downgrading. May 14 2007

Early morning south looking view of a confirmation sign for the A444 which has not been removed as this is now the B4113 Leamington Road. This sign is near the junction with Humphrey Burtons Road, whilst 600M further south just beyond the Daventry Road junction there is a newer example showing the distance as 7 1/2. June 1 2007
