Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Oct 21, 2007 by SteveA30Northbound view taken whilst stationary with handbrake applied and in neutral at the B4101 Tile Hill Lane or Malfunction Junction as locally known. The B4101 comes in from the right from the city and at the next junction goes to the left towards Tile Hill. The direction/lane sign shows seven lanes this side - there are three which narrows to two. Hope this provides an illustration to Truvelos proposal. June 6 2007

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on May 15, 2007 by leekmanA mid 90's view of the overhead traffic lights looking towards Coventry. Not a lot has changed except for the buses which are now Travel West Midlands instead of West Midlands Travel. On the left are a couple of old Fords, a Mk3 Escort and a Sierra estate which is in pretty good nick but then Sierras would only have just stopped being made. This view also shows there is enough room to GSJ this junction with a diamond interchange but the chances of the city council funding such a scheme are nil.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Mar 02, 2007 by TruveloThe distinctive overhead traffic lights are a landmark of this juncton. This picture was taken in the mid 90's and although the streetlamp columns have been replaced they are still fitted with MA lanterns. The signs on the gantries have also been renewed but the biggest change must be the cars, even by 90's standards the W reg car which looks like a Nissan/Datsun and the Mk2 Cavalier were old nails.
Has that old Fiesta on the left just gone through a red light?
