This 40mph limit is under threat as the council is planning on cutting it to 30
Edit Oct 2009 - this limit will be cut to 30 as the council has ignored all objections and will carry out its speed limit programme in full

This stretch used to be the A41 before the M40 was built and continued along what was the off slip to Longbridge. The road was then renumbered to A452 in connection with keeping through traffic to the motorway. 30 May 2008

A regular haunt of the constabulary who stand on the right to catch speeding motorists or those not wearing seat belts - the nice wide side road on the right means you can be signalled in and an income generation ticket given to you with ease and in safety! A stretch of the A452 which is D2 and was 60MPH has been reduced to 50MPH with a Gatso one direction and a Truvelo the other direction between the B4102 SP223 818 and Balsall Common SP235 781, due to the presence of a large number of central reservation gaps which have been the cause of accidents. The scheme has involved the closing of all gaps except for 2, 1 of these being only available in one direction only. A new roundabout is being built in the distance at SP224 795, utility diversions in progress.

The garage is no longer there a fuel oil distributor has built a depot on the site.1 December 2007
