Approaching M48 junction 2 from Bulwark, Chepstow The large Newhouse (roundabout) sign shows which slip road
to take ahead for the M48 westbound or eastbound.
Towards the Abbey ruins, Tintern Viewed from the A466, the main road through the village. The Abbey ruins are a mixture of building work covering four centuries up to 1536, when the Dissolution of the Monasteries ended monastic life in England and Wales. Little remains of the original 12th century structure. The ruins are Grade I listed (the highest category) as the Abbey Church of St Mary, and a scheduled ancient monument.
