A5103

Old style flashing '40 slow' signage. This would have been activated by speed loops in the road. It has now been disabled.

A No Peds, No Horses, No cycles sign which is placed right at the end of the sliproad. Why is it at the end of the slip and not the beginning - because there's a bus stop on the sliproad!!! Also, there is a cycle path which starts here which runs along the left side of the carriageway.

First sign you get to for the A5103, weaving can be a problem here as traffic joining from the A560 has to move out to lane 2 whilst traffic wishing to leave here has to move from lane 2 to lane 1

Were not actually on the M60 yet, and we're getting this sign - are we allowed to join the sliproad if we're not in a bus?

A few things on here. All of the 'old' part of the Mancunian Way is complete, but it seams that the 'unfinished' slip is complete and connects with Brook St. Princess Road (A5103) doesn't yet meet it's Mancunian Way Junction, it also seams to have some sort of connector with Moss Lane planned? No Chester Road Flyover (the old Iron one) installed yet ether. Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 04, 2005 by Mediaman_12

This is where the M60 crosses over the A5103. The interchange caters only for left handed movements off the A5103 and right handed movements off the M60, along with passthroughs for local bus services.

1960s proposals for a roundabout interchange at West Didsbury Junction with the A5103 in an underpass. This was subsequently changed to a diamond with the A5103 on a flyover following discovery of poor drainage that could cause problems with an underpass.
