The bypass goes straight on, but the A50 heads right towards Uttoxeter.

Even though there isn't necessarily demand for it, this shows what it would be like if the A50, instead of having an intersection with the A521, it would have a junction with the A50, and, instead, there would be a full roundabout with Uttoxeter road and the A521 instead of the weird one that it currently has. Anyway, this junction would mean that traffic coming to and from Stoke via the A50 can continue without any interruptions (at this point in their journey).
