Gorstyhill
The pub, the Broughton Arms, has a Cheshire address and was in Cheshire until 1965, when the boundary was moved to make Gorstyhill and Balterley Heath into a single community. I was standing on the current boundary to take the photo. The road to the left, the B5500, used to be the A52.

A500 Meremoor roundabout - Geograph - 532611.jpg
A500 Meremoor roundabout A unashamed inclusion for first geograph as this roundabout is - like it or loathe it - the dominant single feature in this square. Nice to get a slightly elevated viewpoint of the junction of the A500 with the A5020 and A531. Did the planners of this junction deliberately aim to recreate the Peace symbol lying on its side?

This is what I saw in Madeley Heath, outside Keele. Old 1970s style columns with a mixture and variety of lantern types.
