This large sign is obviously very old as it is rather faded. Also you can see where it has been modified to take into account the change to the road down to Dalmuir which originally entered the roundabout at a different angle. This was modified when the roundabout got traffic lights, which must be a good ten years or so now

Tenements on Kilbowie Road, Clydebank (C) Stephen Sweeney The building to the right in the image must be the oldest in the Kilbowie area - the date stone reads 1881, in an area that was pretty much ravaged by the Blitz of 1941.
