A9-01 old
This section north of Calvine is used for local access only after the new road was built in the early 1980's. I was surprised at how narrow it is

A9-06-Killicrankie
Controversial at the time of planning, this has proved to be a great success by bypassing the Killicrankie gorge. This section took about 4 years to build and was opened in 1986.

Looking south through the large tunnel/culvert at Edendon Bridge. The Land Rover track can be clearly seen, as can the barrier on the A9 at the top of the embankment
Looking north through the large tunnel/culvert at Edendon Bridge
There is certainly something odd on the far bank of the river, but is it evidence for an old bridge site, or is it just an odd bit of landscape?
Above the ramp up from the tunnel and to the left of the portal there appears to be a grassy ledge that may just be the old A9 alignment. Or it may be my imagination.
