A network rail crew is maintaining the Vale of Rheidol Railway crossing at Llanbadarn Fawr. As the V of R is not part of the main line network, it is unclear (to me) why Network Rail staff are doing this. Possibly, as it is a public crossing, the V of R is obliged to have Network Rail do the work on safety grounds.

The level crossing at Llanbadarn Fawr. Controlled by lights without barriers, all trains have to stop to allow a crew member to operate the lights by means of a plunger.

Mill Street
Looking along Mill Street towards its junction with Alexandra Road, Park Avenue and Chalybeate Street.
The Mill Inn on the left, where George Street meets Mill Street, was originally the Cross Foxes Inn, dating back to at least the 1870s.
