Flashing amber arrows on crossing, Castleknock, Fingal Dublin

The Mellor traffic lights on this standard crossing, on a smaller unclassified road at the entry/exit of a roundabout with the N3 road, have flashing amber ahead arrows on both approaches probably to warn of the roundabout on entry but this may be pointless on exit.
