Mitcham Common (C) N Chadwick
Mitcham Common or Seven Islands is 182 hectares of common land situated in South London. It is predominantly in the London borough of Merton, with parts straddling the borders with Croydon. The Common is underlain by river gravels giving a highly acidic, but well drained soil.
